AI READY is an interactive, avatar-guided online course on EU AI compliance. Participants learn about the EU AI Act, GDPR and — depending on the tier — NIS-2 and DORA. After passing a multiple-choice exam they receive an official certificate from the German University of Digital Science, Potsdam.

18 months from issuance. After that you can retake the course at half price (recertification). The date is on the certificate and publicly verifiable.

It's a university certificate from the German University of Digital Science, Potsdam — a state-recognised institution. The certificate documents fulfilment of the AI literacy obligation under Art. 4 of the EU AI Act. It comes with a cryptographically signed verification link that lets auditors and supervisory authorities confirm authenticity without any external database.

Typically around 90 minutes for the standard tier. Cyber and Professional take an extra 30–45 minutes due to the additional modules (NIS-2 / DORA). Breaks are possible at any time — progress is saved automatically.

You can retake the exam multiple times. There is a short cooldown between attempts. A pass requires at least 75 % to earn the certificate.

Professor Digital (Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. Alexander Holtermann) is a digitally rendered avatar who moderates the course, answers questions and explains course content. He responds in real time and tailors his explanations to your industry.

Art. 4 of the EU AI Act obliges providers and operators of AI systems to ensure sufficient AI literacy among their staff. This obligation is binding since 2 February 2025. AI READY documents fulfilment of this obligation with an official university certificate.

In principle Art. 4 applies to every company that deploys or provides AI systems — so to nearly every SME that uses tools like ChatGPT, Copilot or any other AI application. The specific requirements depend on your role (provider / deployer) and the risk class of the AI used.

The Cyber tier contains all standard-tier content plus a NIS-2 module: scope of the NIS-2 directive, security duties, reporting obligations and practical measures for SMEs. Especially relevant for companies in critical sectors and their suppliers.

Professional includes Standard + NIS-2 + a DORA module (Digital Operational Resilience Act): ICT risk management, incident reporting, third-party dependencies and resilience testing. Mandatory for financial firms and their ICT service providers from January 2025.

Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), SEPA direct debit and invoice (B2B, 14-day terms). All payments go through Stripe (SCA-compliant). The invoice is sent by email automatically.

As this is a digital education product, the right of withdrawal under § 356(5) BGB expires once the service begins (first course access). You confirm this exception explicitly at checkout. For technical issues please write to support@nterion.de.

All personal data lives exclusively on EU infrastructure: the database is in the AWS region eu-central-1 (Frankfurt). The course's AI processing runs through Mistral AI (Paris, EU). No transfers to third countries without appropriate safeguards.

Yes — both are self-service. In the profile area you'll find the JSON export of all stored data (GDPR Art. 20) and the deletion form (Art. 17). The certificate stays anonymously verifiable for legal reasons.

A modern browser (Chrome 120+, Firefox 120+, Safari 17+, Edge 120+) with JavaScript and microphone access for avatar interaction. No plugin, no app install required. Recommended: stable broadband (5 Mbps+) for the live-avatar session.
